We were invited for a sneak peek around what is going to be the most Instagrammable spot in Knutsford. Located on Regent Street, Cheshire House Bar and Grill is the first of hopefully many new Grill Houses to open around the country.
As we arrived the team were taste testing some of the menu on one of there many training days, ensuring all staff will be fully knowledgeable on the food and drinks that will be on offer. We chatted with Deputy Manager, Nathan and General Manager, Alex to get an insight of what is to come. As advocates for supporting local, it was fantastic to hear they are collaborating with other businesses nearby, such as Cheshire Farm Ice Cream, Tea from the Manor and Boutinot Wine.
The restaurant itself is open plan with a vision that the front will have a more relaxed bar/lounge atmosphere, ideal for after work drinks. The main restaurant is situated in the centre with a combination of tables and booth seating. There will also be a private dining area at the back with space for 14 guests, perfect for celebrating any occasion with a group of your closest friends and family.
Now lets get onto the good stuff, the food and drinks….
Cheshire House Bar and Grill have a great selection of starters, mains and desserts. Of course, with them being a Grill House they have an amazing selection of steaks, including there showstopping Tomahawk Steak and Chateaubriand, along with some classic mains such as Beef Burger and Sausage and Mash. As well as some amazing sounding vegan options such as Fish and Chips which is actually fried banana blossom, so there really is something for everyone.
The prices are extremely reasonable, starting at around £6 for starters and desserts, £13 for mains, and £24 for steaks. But don’t worry if you do want to splash out a bit more there are certainly options to do that!
The drinks list is HUGE with a selection of Cocktails, Wines and Beers; including Corona on draught and a selection from Tatton Brewery. They are going that extra mile and creating their own infused gins which are set to change seasonally.
The building has a real grand feel to it with the original Georgian staircase that takes you up to the toilets, which you won’t be able to resist taking a selfie outside! Flowers are a common theme throughout (even edible flowers in the food!) and we loved it!
We could already envision how incredible this place is going to be and we cannot wait to come back when all is finished. They will be opening the doors on Monday 24th May. Make sure you give them a follow to keep up to date with everything they have going on! Plans for a bottomless brunch are already underway… Watch this space!
